Project Helping Hands Unites with Bolivian Leader

Being a nurse is all about lending a helping hand, and Cindy Tryniszewski, Executive Director of Elsevier/MC Strategies, is doing just that in her work with Project Helping Hands. Last month, the Journal of Emergency Nursing published an article from Cindy on Project Helping Hands and their mission.

Project Helping Hands is providing seminars for physicians, nurses, and first responders in Bolivia; and gathering information to help develop a five-year educational program based on the reported needs of heatlhcare providers in the country. The team was lead by Pat Clutter, MEd, RN, and included Dr. Tan Pinney, Dr. Chuck Sheppard, Norma Heuer, RN, and Cindy Tryniszewski, MSN, RN.

Over the next several months, the Bolivian team members will work with the Project Helping Hands Board of Directors to develop a realistic, achievable five-year plan and submit it for review to key contacts in Boliva. The full article – ‘Project Helping Hands Unites with Bolivian Leaders’ – is available from the Journal of Emergency Nursing online.
