The third part of a three-part series presents the participant with a two pronged approach to evaluation of evidence-based research, practice and projects. From a consumer perspective the presentation provides guidelines and resources that can be utilized when evaluating evidence-based research, both nursing and other, when planning and implementing nursing care. From an evidence-based generator perspective, guidelines are provided to evaluate completed and/or on-going evidence-based projects that the participants may be involved in directly or indirectly. The approach used for the presentation brings the process of evidence-based research full circle, from creating an evidence-based culture to the development and implementation of an evidence-based research project to evaluation from the perspective of a consumer, utilizing evidence, and the perspective of a generator of evidence-based nursing research.
